Some info on MES

Located in Merkel, Texas, 15 minutes west of Abilene, we are a 2A school, and have students from PK through 3rd grade. Being a small school, we are able to give our students the attention they need to excel. Thanks to the combined efforts of all our students and employees we have scored Exemplary on the state TAKS test 2 years in a row! We are all very proud to be Merkel Badgers at MES - "Where everyone is a star"!
