Hello, I'm Vicky Rister RN the school nurse for Merkel ISD. I started working at Merkel in 1992,it is a wonderful school district. I've learned and enjoyed so much while having fun working here.
There are 5 schools in this district so I get to travel a lot. I'm lucky because I have 2 assistants that help me at 2 schools. My favorite part of my job is helping students deal with life. I want students to learn to love themselves just the way they are. I encourage students to take care of their health by eatting right, drinking plenty of water, exercising and getting 8 hours of sleep every night.
